What to Put on a Landing Page That Converts

INTRODUCTION

A landing page is not a website. It does not need navigation, social media icons, or links to your blog. It has one job: get the visitor to take one specific action.

  • A subheadline that introduces the solution: One sentence that bridges the gap between their pain and your offer.

  • A clear description of what they are getting: Describe it specifically. Not "get my free resource."

  • Bullet points that highlight the benefits: Focus on outcomes, not features.

  • Social proof if you have it: Testimonials, numbers, or any evidence that other people have found value.

  • A single call to action: One button. One form. One action.

WHAT TO LEAVE OFF

  • Navigation menus that let people click away.

  • Social media links that send visitors off the page.

  • Multiple offers or calls to action that create decision fatigue.

  • Long paragraphs of text that nobody will read.

  • Stock photos that add nothing to the message.

THE TEST

Show your landing page to someone who knows nothing about your business. Ask them: what is this page offering me, and what am I supposed to do? If they cannot answer both instantly, the page needs work.
